The day woke up wet. Not the ideal weather to be outside shooting but we didn’t let that discourage us. Even though we considered alternative locations we ended up sticking to the original plan. The shoot happened in Baker Street.
Just a little later than planned due to some hotel issues. Poor Marike got locked out of her hotel room for a little while. But this was not a bad thing. The sky cleared out by the time we met and we didn’t get a single drop of rain while out shooting.
Marike contacted me on Instagram and asked to collab as she was visiting London soon. After a quick scroll through her feed I said yes. So glad I did! Even though she is not a professional model the shoot went super smoothly and I barely needed to direct her. She actually came up with so many ideas. I just had to shoot. Made my job so easy!
This was another first for me. A collab in London with someone who is not from here. Felt a bit like I was taking some “advanced” holiday shots. Even though Marike was actually in London for work.
Here are a bunch of shots from that day in the Baker Street area. Hope you enjoy them.
As we didn’t have “friends” in common I was curious to know how she found me. Turns out it was through a specific hashtag I had recently used. When on Instagram don’t forget your hashtags as you never know who they might connect you to.
