This was my first photography meetup with the guys from The Portrait Mission page. They have started the page only in late April this year but are already gathering many photographers for their meets. It is quite impressive.
Unfortunately models don’t seem to be as keen as the photographers and a few didn’t show up.
Despite only having half of the planned models the ones that attended the meetup were absolute stars! Big thank you to Olga, Mikheeva, Jasmine and Alex for showing up and modelling for a whole afternoon.
The route for the meet was a bit all over the place which meant we ended up walking a lot more than I had expected but we did get to shoot in some amazing locations around London.
It must be hard work organising these events and I really appreciate the effort. Worth noting that they do all the work for free and always with a smile on their faces. I am super grateful for people like Sevi and Josh that go out of their way to help the community grow.
The shots you can see below were taken in London around Shoreditch, Barbican and Monument.
Here are a few more relaxed (and out of focus) shots. Just a little insight of what goes on behind the scenes.
This meetup managed to gather a great bunch of photographers and I had a really good time. I got to see a few familiar faces, meet new people, catch up with some of my closest photography buddies and work with amazing models.
Definitely looking forward to the next meetup with The Portrait Mission guys. This one was a pleasure!
