Alexandra Palace on New Year's Day

The Holiday Season

That’s it. 2018 is gone! So what did I get up to over this holiday season?

Every day that was not a Bank Holiday was spent at work. Luckily on Christmas Eve I was allowed to go home really early as a Christmas treat. Big thanks to my old manager for that.

To be fair I don’t really mind working during the last days of the year as the office is usually quiet and I get a lot more done. And in peace. Noise levels are way lower than usual.

As I am getting old I guess I am enjoying time at home a lot more than what I used to. So you guessed it right, I stayed home for the most part of my days off over Christmas and NYE.

During Christmas we ate a lot of food, there was salted cod, duck and roast chicken. It was all so yummy. We watched a few movies on Netflix and I also worked on my photography. It was great to just rest and spend quality time together.

So did I go crazy for NYE? Not at all. Worked until the usual time which meant I was a little tired at the end of the day, so was my boyfriend. He cooked my favourite dish, rice with duck and chorizo, we ate and watched a movie. At midnight we were barely awake. Still popped that Martini Asti bottle and drank it while watching the fireworks from our window.

Had a good night sleep and on NY day we went to Alexandra Palace for a walk and coffee. It is always so nice to get out of the house and explore London.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
